Context + Intelligence

In the workshop of "Context+Intelligence" held by Tongji University, China, our group used a VR headset as a research tool to explore the questions: how richness of environment (Ambient Sound, Material Expression) could affect people's attentional focus when they read an article, through designing an experiment with two different exterior contexts (Chinatown, NYC and Theo Goncalves, Saudi Arabia) and two different interior settings (Brick Room and Concrete Room).

We executed 3D reconstruction of experimental areas using Agisoft Metashape and Unity, and efficiently gathered critical data through Arduino GSR during the VR experience, think-aloud interviews and questionnaires before and after the experience, supported by a well-maintained experimental process video library.
